Our Story<\/p>\n\n\n
In 1904 the Aurelia family converted a Benedictine seminary on the cliffs of Ravello into a house for travellers who wanted the coast without the crowds. Four generations later, the walls, the terraces and the lemon trees are the same — and so is the intention.<\/p>
Every room is different because the building refused to be regular. No two rooms in the house are identical. Each is furnished with pieces from the family collection, linen from Amalfi, and a terrace that belongs to you alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

What Guests Write Afterwards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe have stayed at every grand hotel on this coast. Aurelia is the only one where the staff remembered exactly how our daughter takes her breakfast — three years after our last visit.\n\n\nThe villa pool at six in the morning, with the whole gulf still asleep three hundred metres below and nobody else awake, is the best memory of our marriage so far.\n\n\nI booked two nights and rearranged an entire European itinerary in order to stay eight. The kitchen alone would justify the journey; the silence at night is what I still think about.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
